Our holiday in Bad Kissingen in autumn

Autumn is an ideal time to visit. The colors of the trees make the spa park a highlight. The cool air and the warm thermal springs complement each other well. In autumn there are also fewer tourists around. This means you can enjoy the sights in peace.

We chose Bad Kissingen because we were looking for relaxation and nature. The city offers both in abundance. Our stay began with a walk through the spa park. The old trees and the well-tended flowerbeds are impressive. We also visited the Wandelhalle and tried the healing water.

Another highlight was the visit to the KissSalis thermal baths. The various pools and saunas are perfect for switching off. We spent hours there and felt like new people afterwards.

In the evening we finally enjoyed the local cuisine. The restaurants offer traditional dishes that simply taste good. We are big fans of the Franconian cuisine. Bad Kissingen is really worth a visit in autumn. The combination of nature, wellness and cuisine is unbeatable. If you are looking for relaxation, Bad Kissingen is the right place.

Our stay in Bad Kissingen in autumn

Our Bad Kissingen vacation in autumn was pure relaxation.

Arrival and first impression

We traveled by car because we value the flexibility. However, the city is also easily accessible by train. The train station is centrally located and many hotels offer pick-up services. When we arrived, the spa gardens immediately tempted us to take a walk in the fresh autumn air.

Lodging

Our accommodation was a small, family-run hotel near the spa park. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. They gave us tips for our stay and recommended local restaurants and attractions. The proximity to the spa park was ideal for us as we wanted to spend a lot of time there.

Autumn highlights

A Bad Kissingen holiday in autumn offers many highlights. The deciduous trees in the spa gardens reminded us of Indian summer with their colours. The rose garden was also particularly beautiful. Some roses were still blooming even in autumn.

Another highlight was the Wandelhalle. Here we tried the healing waters for which Bad Kissingen is famous. You do have to get used to the taste, but we learned a lot about the healing powers of the water. The Wandelhalle itself is also worth a visit because of its magnificent architecture.

wellness and relaxation

Bad Kissingen is known for its thermal baths and wellness facilities. We spent a lot of time in the KissSalis thermal baths. The various pools and saunas offered pure relaxation.

We also booked some wellness treatments. A massage after a long walk in the spa park was just the thing. Facials and aromatherapy are also available.

Autumn is an ideal time for wellness. The cool air outside and the warm baths inside create a beautiful contrast. After a day in the thermal baths, we felt like we were reborn.

In the evening we enjoyed Franconian cuisine. We rounded off the day with shoulder of pork and sauerbraten. We also had regional wines. Gastronomy in Bad Kissingen is versatile and offers something for every taste.
