Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, with its Baltic Sea coast, lakes and Hanseatic cities, offers countless holiday options. With this practical travel information you can plan it well.

Transport

The region is well connected to the German transport network, both by car and by public transport. The A20 and A19 motorways cross Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and offer a quick connection between the larger cities and sights. For current traffic information and route planning, I recommend using ADAC Maps.

If you want to travel by train, you can find it on the Deutsche Bahn website* detailed information about connections and tickets. This is particularly practical for tourists Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Ticket*, with which you can use all regional trains in the region for a whole day.

Best travel times

Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is worth a trip at any time of the year.
