On the way in the Spirit Park of the event and seminar hotel Krainerhütte

Surrounded by the densely forested hills of the Wienerwald the event and seminar hotel Krainerhütte is located on the Schwechat near Baden near Vienna in Lower Austria. We have passed this hotel a few times, because you cannot overlook the large hotel complex on the B210 in the Helenental valley. However, we had no idea what was behind it. Petar and I spent a day there as individual guests. We were not the typical guests of this hotel, which has established itself as an event and seminar hotel. This is where groups usually come who use the hotel facilities for seminars and events. The event and seminar hotel Krainerhütte is excellently equipped with numerous event rooms, a spacious restaurant, an inviting sun terrace and a pool area that invites you to relax between the events.

We were most impressed by the Spirit Park, a park with an area of ​​50.000 square meters, which adjoins the hotel building on the banks of the Schwechat River. When we arrive at lunchtime at the hotel, our rooms are not yet ready, so we have time to look at the park in peace and with much leisure. That's good! Because in this way we take the time to really experience the individual stations of the park. Amazing things happen: what initially seems to me to be a random collection of healing places from various indigenous cultures of the world, turns out to be an offer of different places of power, which we strengthened in the short time of our stay and leave them full of inner peace. The only thing you need is time and the willingness to get involved in these places of power.

We discover a monolith that reminds me of the Standing Stones in the British Isles. There is a labyrinth engraved in it, in whose confusion my eyes are lost. In a hut that reminds me of the mountain huts on pastures in the Alps, we find stacked firewood. A tepee transports me to the prairies of America. Again and again we find benches at the edge of the forest, which provide shade in the summer heat, and from which we can let these places affect us. Together with the surrounding nature of the Wienerwald, I soon feel the calming effect these places have on me. I start to look after butterflies. My eyes wander up over the wooded hillsides, and I listen to the gurgling and splashing of the creek, which seeks its way in the forest behind me. I love water, especially on hot summer days like this. Just the thought of it makes me feel cooler.

This is reinforced by the Fairy Tale Square, a shady spot on the banks of the Schwechat, surrounded by old deciduous trees, under which various stone figures stimulate the imagination. Here I am looking for a seat and enjoy the place, which exerts a beneficial effect on me. It's hard for me to leave him, but there are more places of power waiting to be discovered by us.

Only a few steps away, I find a sweat lodge, which - as the hotel director of the Krainerhütte later tells us - is actually used for this purpose. Now, however, we only see the poles where the branches of the coniferous tree are fixed, turning the circular framework into a hut, inside which a kind of natural sauna is created when it is used. I especially like the biotope, an artificially created pond with some beach chairs waiting for sun worshipers. However, the sun is burning too hot from the sky at lunchtime when I want to accept the invitation. I enjoy a few minutes the view of the blooming water lilies in the pond and the view of the hills of the Wienerwald, before we go on to the totem poles whose carvings look more European than Indian.

Our way back to the hotel leads on shady paths past a circle of trees and our gaze wanders once again over the Spirit Park, which had a lasting effect on me and made our stay at the event and seminar hotel Krainerhütte in the Vienna Woods something very special.
