Discover the Wachau Austria for connoisseurs

The Wachau in the Mostviertel region is a destination for connoisseurs. It is the stretch of the Danube between Krems and Melk. There, over a distance of 36 kilometers, the river carves a 700-meter-deep path into the Bohemian Massif's foothills. The Wachau separates the Dunkelsteinerwald forest in the south from the Waldviertel region in the north. We highly recommend these excursion destinations for connoisseurs along the Danube.

Detox in the monastery – Detoxify the body with TEM

Two days of detox in the monastery - that's what we wanted to try out during our stay at the Kneipp Kurhaus in Bad Mühllacken. In Bad Mühllacken this is done with the methods of Traditional European Medicine (TEM). Hildegard von Bingen and Pastor Kneipp are just some of the founders of these healing methods.

Dürnstein Wachau: Your guide to the city on the Danube

Dürnstein Abbey in the Wachau looks best from the Danube. You can see the blue tower of the collegiate church below the castle from afar, if you approach the place by ship. The place does not offer many sights, but those that are are worth a visit. They bear witness to the great past of the place.

Grüner Veltliner and Riesling in Kamptal

We had the opportunity to taste the wines at the Loisium Wine & Spa Resort in Langenlois in the Kamptal in the Waldviertel. A dinner in the hotel, a wine tasting in the Loisium wine adventure world and a picnic in the vineyards above Langenlois give us the opportunity to do so.
