On our trips to foreign countries, we often try out the local cuisine and like to take a look behind the scenes. Visits to winegrowers, the producers of regional products, the manufactories of local specialties or one or the other cooking course, where we learn how to make these delicacies ourselves, give us an insight into everyday life on site. We get in touch with the locals, meet interesting people and thus get a deep insight into the culture and way of life of the countries we travel to. We sometimes try food that is foreign to us and we don't know whether it will suit our European stomachs. It goes without saying that this is not always without problems. Other dishes, strange spices, spicy food, recipes that we are not used to and ingredients that we do not have on the table are just some of the things that we can cause difficulties. There are different ways everyone deals with this. How do you do this? Do you have certain insider tips that will help you when eating out in exotic countries? Do you eat everything that is put in front of you? Or are you picky? And if so, how?
