Apple crumble recipe for the camper

We love eating the apple crumble dessert. We first discovered Apple Crumble in Ireland and in the USAThere, they are often eaten as a dessert. Often served with whipped cream or a dollop of vanilla ice cream. According to Wikipedia, the recipe likely originated in England, where it was supposedly invented during World War II.

No wonder! It only requires a few ingredients. Some of them will likely come from your own garden. Anyone who had a garden usually had an apple tree in it. The apple crumble recipe has since conquered the world. We make it when we're in a hurry to cook something. Or when we have a lot of apples available for the apple harvest that we need to use up quickly.
